Trees4Good About Us

Trees4Good was founded by Val "Ni" Conniford and Mark Sear in 2007, as a result of a three-year interest in Jatropha and other alternative energy (biofuel) crops. Not wanting to promote anything that would in any way affect food production, and wanting to bring economic aid to the poorest areas of the world, Jatropha seemed to tick every box, particularly as a biofuel crop offering the opportunity to carbon offset.

"I wanted to make a difference. I wanted my team to make a difference. I wanted to establish a company that would deliver economic benefits to the poorest people on the planet, and at the same time preserve this beautiful world by carbon offsetting. I watched Al Gores incredible movie several times, and that was part of my inspiration to found Trees4Good. I am delighted that so many people seem to agree with me that the time for change and the time for a little less selfishness is now."

The Trees4Good team is now growing almost as fast as the Jatropha trees we plant. With agents now established in several countries and more people joining the network every month, the opportunity to do something to help the planet as well as some of its poorest inhabitants is clearly striking a chord.
