Trees4Good Carbon Footprint Reduction - MK Dons

MK Dons are one of the most progressive football clubs in the UK. Located in Milton Keynes, one of Europes fastest growing and most dynamic cities, "the Dons" are keen to become a carbon neutral football club.

In April 2008 MK Dons were victorious in the Johnstones Paint Trophy - in from of over 56,000 fans. As part of the big Wembley Day Out, MK Dons agreed to plant one tree for every fan that made the trip from Milton keynes to Wembley.

In the event Pete Winkleman (picture right with two six month old trees) was responsible for the planting of over 36,000 trees in Borneo and history was made in two ways.

Firstly MK Dons won their first ever trophy and secondly MK Dons fans made the the first ever carbon neutral visit to Wembley.
